May 9, 2021- ‘ROXANA” - ROXY! Beautiful bay Vitalis filly born at Te Amo Farm.
Black filly by Diamond Stud x Deniro/ Rubinstein. Born at a reasonable 10:39 am, August 4/17. This dainty little ballerina is just so petite compared to the colts of this year. Looking forward to seeing this little gem grow up here on the farm. So thankful for these wonderful foals in my life...makes it all worth it! Special thanks to Sydney Edwards for being a great midwife:-)
So this leggy black and blingy colt was born at 10:15p.m. May 31...yes it's been busy here and hence the late posting!! He's by the late stallion Diamond Stud and out of my favourite home bred filly.... Sophia 4yr old (Sir Donnerhall x Real Diamond). We bred this filly here and I knew when she was born (Mother's Day) she was a special filly. I had intended on just riding this one, but life circumstances made the decision for me. Not that I hadn't thought about it :-)!!! Anyway, this is what we got from this combo and I'm not surprised at all at the quality or the temperament. Sophia will start again into her dressage future in a few months...can't wait!
For Romance (Furst Romancier/Sir Donnerhall/Don Schufro) out of Rosalina (Real Diamond x Weltmeyer)
This little guy was born on May 30th at 4a.m.. Up and at it in less then 20 minutes! Love what this stallion has produced in the last few years with my mares and will be breeding another few this year too! He's a very powerful and fun little character:-) The best presents to watch unwrap....
I really love what this stallion is producing and our filly from last year was spectacular and a dead ringer for her father. .
Thank you Dressage BC!!! Thank you so much to all who nominated me!!! Thank you Noel Asmar Equestrian for the beautiful jacket!
Thanks to everyone's hard work. Proud of my students accomplishments!!!
Training Level Youth Champion - Shalyn Svetec
First Level Adult Amateur Reserve Champion - Katja Gallagher
Third Level Adult Amateur, third - Vanessa Whittell
FEI Young Rider Champion - Rachel McDonald
Another fun weekend with my kids! Love this show and all the creative planning that goes into developing our up and coming young dressage stars:-) Congratulations to: Rachel MacDonald and Ubaldi for their spectacular personal best score of 72.5% in the FEI JR Division and her FEI JR Gold Championship....OH and the Overall Reserve Gold Show Championship! This was well deserved and so much fun to watch:-) Then we had Shayy Sveteec and Rocky... they blew it out of the park in the Bronze Show: Bronze Overall Champion, Hack Champion, High Score Champion and to be honest I couldn't keep track of the rest! Then Sydney Edwards and Torbijn (TJ), had their first show together, including TJ"s first hack classes! They had some excellent scores in the mid 60"s and great placings in the hack classes! Not bad for a warm-up show SYD! All in all, I'm just over the moon with all of you and your super sportsmanship impressed me once again! On to Thunderbird we go. See you all there.
We have two foals for 2016. Reba ( Rubinus x Real Diamond) is in foal to the lovely stallion For Romance ( Furst Romancier x Sir Donnerhall). Confirmed colt due July! Her mother Rosalina is in foal to Dreamboy ( Vivaldi x Ferro ). I decided to try something totally different for bloodlines with this mare. Lena always produces super foals regardless of what stallions I breed her too. She is due in May and we missed the moment to sex this one, so we will have a surprise:-) One or both of these foals will be for sale!
Happy to have these two young riders receive the "Most Improved Rider Award" at the BCYR Awards Banquet! I nominated Rachael MacDonald and Sydney Edwards for this award, BUT, I just couldn't choose between them...SO the BCYR committee was nice enough to award both of them!! Very proud of both of these lovely young riders:-) Watch out 2016!
So I send off another special one from Te Amo Farm! This match couldn't be better in my eyes. Izzy will be bred in 2016 to First Duke, owned by Henk Glijn. She will continue her riding career with new owner Emma Enns and her coach Corine Smith from Vernon, B.C. ! Can't wait to watch another baby enter into the world of dressage. Happy breeder!
Congratulations to Shalyn Svetec and Weltgrande on their Overall First Level Youth Championship for BC. What a wonderful way to end the dressage season for 2014. Proud as always:-)
Pretty excited about the future for this combination! Sarah purchased Geronimo in December 2014as a rather under developed warmblood x TB. Not much to look at, but WOW could he jump! Anyway, a little spit and polish and low and behold we have a winner:-) Good work on this project and I think this might be a combination to watch out for:-)
